Noble Gold Investments vs Lear Capital: Head-to-Head Comparison

Noble’s production IRA minimum is $20,000, compared with Lear’s $10,000 in its dated disclosure. Lear separates non-segregated and segregated storage; Noble’s IRA page and support page disagree on recurring totals and storage wording. At $285 recurring, Noble’s IRA page and Lear’s segregated example show the same number, but that does not establish the same storage.

Comparison Method

Obtain same-day, itemized written quotes. Each should identify the product, quantity, purchase price, quote expiration, first-year and ongoing charges, named IRA custodian and depository, storage arrangement, and the current procedure for a future sale, transfer, or in-kind distribution.

Noble Gold Investments: Noble’s production IRA page and support page conflict: $125 custody + $160 storage versus $125 custody + $150 described as segregated storage. The IRA page gives a $20,000 minimum. Do not select $275 as a universal total or infer storage type from $160.

Reconcile conflicting Noble terms before matching Lear options

A proposed $15,000 IRA purchase is above Lear’s stated threshold and below Noble’s. For a purchase meeting both, Lear’s $235 lower recurring option depends on electronic statements and non-segregated storage. Noble’s $275 support description should not be substituted for its $285 IRA-page total without an account-specific explanation.

Noble’s IRA-page opening lines total $365; Lear’s segregated example also totals $365, while Lear’s non-segregated example totals $315. Equal sums can mask different arrangements. Ask Noble which storage right accompanies its $160 line and Lear which option is checked on the actual application.

What the selected custody and exit documents must resolve

Noble lists $75 in-kind and $250 closure charges on its IRA page. That does not mean both apply to every sale. Obtain Lear’s equivalent activity schedule and choose one exit scenario—sale retained inside the IRA, trustee transfer or owner distribution—before comparing totals.

Use a three-party document check: the dealer’s invoice establishes the item, quantity and purchase price; the custodian’s agreement establishes account administration and reporting; the depository arrangement establishes inventory, storage and delivery. The SEC warns that self-directed IRA custody does not itself evaluate an investment’s quality or legitimacy. These checks cannot be replaced by a provider rating or the fact that an account administrator accepts the asset.

If a representative cites Noble’s support total while an application uses the IRA-page line items, obtain the resolution before approving the account rather than keeping two contradictory invoices for later. At Lear, verify the statement and storage selections in the same signed packet. Both public descriptions can be useful, but the controlling account agreement and current fee schedule must describe a single selected arrangement.

A same-product comparison you can reproduce

Ask Noble Gold Investments and Lear Capital for the same eligible coin or bar, quantity, reference-price time and quote expiry. Request an executable same-day repurchase bid separately. Record each purchase price, bid, opening charges, yearly custody/storage and the single exit you intend to compare. Do not add every possible exit fee to one scenario, and do not subtract a sale deduction twice if it is already included in the bid.

For an illustration only, a $10,500 purchase quote and $9,800 same-day bid produce a $700 purchase-to-bid gap. Dividing $700 by the $10,500 purchase price gives 6.67%, rounded; it is not 7% of the purchase price. These invented quotes are not either company’s prices, a typical spread or a forecast. The gap tells you what the quoted transaction would cost immediately, not what gold will return over a holding period.
